    What is a pellet machine?
Compression, extrusion, and adhesion are the three processes that a pellet machine uses to convert a soft, frequently dusty material into a firm feed pellet.
Mechanically, pelleting is the process of driving soft feed through slits in a metal ring-type die. Tapered or non-tapered, these holes might be square or circular. As friction develops, one or two rolls mounted on an eccentric or cam inside the die ring rotate on a rotating shaft (due to the presence of feed between roll and die).

A finished pellet can be dissected to reveal tightly packed layers of feed mixture because feed is driven through the die holes in increments. Only when friction forms between the feed between the rolls and the die cause the die turn, which is powered by a motor.
